ABOUT ARYAMAN BIRLA

JOLIE'S FOUNDER

An entrepreneur at heart, scion of Aditya Birla Group, Aryaman Vikram Birla is a firm believer in running organizations with well anchored values and robust business models.

Having set up the Aditya Birla New Age (ABNA), Aryaman emphasises on constant excellence and proactive decision making. In a short span of time, ABNA already has three business divisions within the entity, which includes an F&B arm, a pet care venture, and a venture capital fund.

The F&B arm currently operates with a first of its kind members’ only club in Mumbai, called Jolie’s. This space, that is internationally comparable, believes in building a community of diverse achievers, with a well curated list of events and top-notch food, beverage and best in class service.

The pet care venture, called Pawpstar, is focussed on building a one stop destination for pets and their owners, over the next few years.
The VC arm, called Aditya Birla Ventures’ goal is to invest in highly motivated, solid founders, as much as it is to invest in good businesses.

Apart from ABNA, Aryaman spends a lot of his time working on and with other businesses within the Aditya Birla Group, including Fashion and Retail, Paints and Real Estate. At these businesses, Aryaman works closely with his father, Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla on key strategic areas of the businesses, including overall strategy, business, financial model decisions, M&A’s and budgeting, amongst other areas.

Before entering business, Aryaman was a professional cricketer, having been the highest run scorer nationally in the U-23s, and made his first-class debut in 2017. Aryaman has scored century at the first-class level and also represented The Rajasthan Royals in IPL. Aryaman believes his tenure as a professional cricketer has been his greatest teacher as it gave him the opportunity to experience India at a grassroots level. As he says, “hard work, determination and perseverance – the virtues I learned from cricket, are my guiding forces even in business and entrepreneurship.”
